This calculator helps to calculate your electricity costs.
Type the power of your device (in Watts) and the price for one kWh into the
corresponding fields at the top. Click on the "calculate"-button
or on any free space of the window and read the result.
Use the "reset" button to delete your calculation.
You may type any value fr minutes, hours or days int the corresponding grey fields
in the first row. The calculation will be performed with these values.
Move the mouse over a unit or click on it to read its full name.
Example: How expensive is the usage of a 60 W bulb when the price
for electricity is 16 ¢ per kWh ?
Type "60" into the fields for the power and
"16" into the fields for the price. Click on the "calculate"-button.
The result is for example 23.04 ¢ when you use the bulb for 24 hours.
Hint: The costs appear in that currency unit, in which you have given the price.
Remarks:
- Large and small numbers are written exponentially. As example
2.3e5 = 2.3⋅105 = 230000 or
4.5e-5 = 4.5⋅10-5 = 0.000045.
- There is no warranty for the conversion. Cactus2000 is not
responsible for damage of any kind caused by wrong results.
- Please send an email if you have suggestions or if you would like to see more
conversions to be included.
