The gradient is the ratio of the vertical to the horizontal distance (Δy/Δx, tangent). By this converter you may transform several possibilities to quantify a gradient (for example of roads) into each other.

Usage:
Type the value you want to convert into the field, behind which you find the corresponding unit.

After a mouseclick on any free space of the window, the corresponding height in m is calculated
for a given gradient.
Example: What is the angle of a road with a gradient of 14 % ? Type "14" into the field, behind which you find "%". Click on any empty space of the window. Read the result in the field in front of "alpha" (about 8 degree, 7.9696°).
