The date of Easter Sunday is calculated with the Gregorian calendar applying the present rules of
western churches. The calculation is possible between the years 1583 and 4099.
Please consider in every calculation whether the used rules were valid at the year and place in question.
Easter sunday is the first sunday after the spring full moon. The other calculated days are shifted
correspondingly (e.g. Shrove Tuesday 47 days before Easter, Whit Sunday 49 days after Easter).
The dates of some days, which are not mentioned, may easily be determined (e.g. Good Friday is 2 days
before Easter).
More information about the calculation of Easter dates you may find in the internet, e.g. on
"GM Arts Home Page".
Parts of the calculation have been taken from that page.
