Tube sizes, 2D

This is a calculator for a number of sizes of a pipe. The calculations are valid for straight pipes under ideal conditions. The sizes of technical pipes may differ from the geometrical calculations.

Usage: Type the known values into the corresponding fields. For every measure there is a field for values in millimetres and one in inch. After a mouseclick on any free space of the window or on the "calculate" button the calculation is performed. Read the result.
For a full calculation you need either one inner and one outer size, or one inner or one outer size and the wall thickness or the wall cross section, or you need both wall values. The calculation is performed with the last two input values. The last value is indicated with the radio buttons in front of the table. With the radio buttons you can also choose a calculated value for another calculation. As example, when you have calculated an inner size and you want to continue with this value, you click on the radio button in front of the inner values before the input of the new value.
Move the mouse over a unit or click on it to read its full name. For another calculation just change the input values or you may click the "reset" button, eventually.

Example: A tube has an inner diameter of 1¼ in and a wall thickness of 1 mm. What is the outer perimeter of this tube. Type "1.25" into the inch-field for the inner diameter and "1"into the millimeter-field for the wall thickness. After a mouseclick on any free space of the window or on the "calculate" button you can read the result. The tube has an outer perimeter of 106 mm.
