Lahr - Schuttertal - Ettenheimmünster - Kippenheim

In the Schutter valley From Lahr we follow the bike path "Rhein-Schuttertal" past Kuhbach, Reichenbach and Seelbach. On a roadbike the best place for switching to the road is after the old train station in Seelbach.

The road up the Schutter valley offers no difficulty. After 18 km we reach an intersection and turn right in the direction of Ettenheimmünster. A little climb with two hairpins and 120 m gain takes us to the next intersection. We turn right again and enjoy the long descent.

Church of Ettenheimmünster Ettenheimmünster is a village most notable for the pilgrimage church of St. Landelin. Next to the church is a good spot for a rest stop. You can watch people fetch water from the blessed fountain of St. Landelin.

We continue through Münchweier and Kippenheim. Now we're back in the Rhine valley and follow the bike path next to the B3 to Lahr.

If you don't like the flat bike path next to the B3 turn right to Sulz 1 km later. In Sulz it's possible to take the small road to Langenhard. This gains another 200 m with up to 13 % slope near the top.
